Angela Aeschliman: A Leader, Innovator, and Advocate for Sustainability at The Missner Group
If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to balance sustainability, leadership, and a passion for fashion, meet Angela Aeschliman, Senior Vice President of Property and Asset Management at The Missner Group. Angela is the glue that keeps operations running smoothly and a driving force behind the company’s growth and innovation.
Angela’s real estate journey began when she earned her license at just 22. She was drawn to the limitless opportunities the field offered, from income-producing assets, to development and asset business plans. Fast forward to today, Angela is a trailblazer, one of her most special achievements was earning her LEED AP ND certification in 2014, and she spearheads sustainability efforts within the company and the industry. “The content was outside the realm of my usual work, it was incredibly challenging and rewarding to have achieved it and to use this knowledge,” Angela shares about her certification—a reflection of her lifelong passion for protecting natural resources.
In 2024, Angela stepped up as ESG Advisory Vice-Chair for IREM, tackling sustainability initiatives and leading conversations on better resource and cost management, EV charging, and the future of real estate. When she is not serving on panels or mentoring her team, Angela is busy fine-tuning processes at The Missner Group, ensuring her colleagues have the tools and systems needed to succeed. “It’s about setting a foundation so our rainmakers can focus on growth,” she explains.
What makes The Missner Group so special to Angela? “…BECAUSE the missner Group is a 3rd generation family business am I afforded the opportunity to learn and grow while wearing many different hats. At times we can all be pushed out of our comfort zones, but I love that. This creates a unique environment, that feels like family,” she says.
But Angela’s talents go beyond real estate. Inspired by her receiving five yards of recycled fabric to test and design with, and her upbringing focused on resourcefulness, Angela has spent the last year creating a sustainable resort wear line using recycled fabrics. “I believe women’s clothing can be designed to last a lifetime, be environmentally responsible and make incredible social impact” she says with a smile.
Balancing her professional and personal life hasn’t always been easy. “For years, I didn’t balance it well, but now I give myself permission to invest time in things that make me happy,” Angela reflects. Whether she’s mentoring her team, designing sustainable fashion with zero carbon emissions, or simply spending time with her family, Angela approaches everything she does with intention and heart. ,
Angela’s leadership and passion for innovation are what make her an invaluable part of The Missner Group.”To me, It’s more than just building projects; it’s about building relationships and creating a sense of belonging.” With Angela’s ability to push the envelope and drive change, the future at The Missner Group looks brighter than ever in 2025.
