The Ask:

The McGrath Auto Group was in the market for a design/build project for their existing retail and service center located in Chicago, Illinois. As the first Acura in the City of Chicago, the space needed to feature one of kind finishes, ample space for car storage, and well-crafted space for guests to enjoy.

The delivery:

The Missner Group leveraged their in-house project management team to deliver the 57,550 square-foot Acura to Chicago, Illinois. Located along the North branch of the Chicago River, the project included the addition of a new Acura service center with three drive-in lanes, 21 service bays, a parts department, car wash, seven glass-enclosed offices, a new showroom, and a lounge area. The project also features numerous sustainable improvements to the property including the implementation of a vegetative roof and the utilization of permeable pavers for the parking lot. The pavers are designed to reduce the impervious area of the project and allow for stormwater management in keeping with the City of Chicago’s best management practices.
