Alena’s Journey at The Missner Group: A Passion for Numbers, Growth, and Teamwork

At The Missner Group, we love celebrating the people who make things happen behind the scenes—and Alena is one of those key players. She’s been part of the TMG family for nine years, growing from a Project Coordinator to Financial Manager, where she plays a crucial role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly.

Alena has always had a thing for numbers. “They just make sense to me,” she says. “It’s like solving a puzzle—figuring out how money flows through projects and making sure everything adds up.” Over time, she naturally gravitated toward the financial side of construction, working closely with our VP of Finance and Accounting to improve processes and ensure efficiency.

Ask Alena what keeps her motivated, and she’ll tell you it’s the people. “At TMG, we help each other out. I’ve seen people go above and beyond to support one another, and that’s what makes this place special,” she says. She also values the freedom to grow in the areas she’s most passionate about—something that led her to transition into the finance team.

Since stepping into her role, Alena has revamped the draw process to make it more efficient for both our team and subcontractors. “I see myself as one of the many bridges between our internal teams and the subs we work with. My goal is to make sure everyone has what they need to succeed.”

Outside of work, Alena is a big traveler and foodie who loves exploring new places and cultures. She’s also into interior design—you’ll often find her helping friends pick out pieces for their homes. When she’s not crunching numbers, she’s at the gym, practicing yoga, reading a good book, going on a road trip with her son or planning her next adventure. 

What’s next for Alena? “I just want to keep learning, take on new challenges, and continue growing with the team,” she says. One thing’s for sure—her passion, problem-solving skills, and team-first mentality make her an invaluable part of TMG.
